today i went to the Brandenberg gate (top) and the Reichstag which is the German parliament in Berlin. the parliament has been rebuilt because it was bombed during the second world war. also, Napoleon stole the statue on top of the Brandenberg gate and took it to Paris. Germany got it back in 1814, 8 years after it was taken.

Berlin arrival

have arrived in Berlin after about 24 hours of combined airtime. we flew to Frankfurt via Singapore and Auckland and then from Frankfurt to Berlin. after we arrived we went to our room for a bit before going on a quiet riverboat tour of Berlin. we saw about 20 famous buildings and most of the originals were destroyed in WW2. i haven't had a decent sleep in around 45 hours so i feel wrecked.
